Lately, all I hear about is Burts Bees . It actually started over a year ago. Everyone had Burts Bees products on their Christmas lists. I did not know what the big deal was, so I bought everyone other types of natural cosmetics that I was more familiar with. Then, I forgot about it.

However, once again Burts Bees are all over the news. People are using the to promote charitable work. Salons are holding drawings for services using this brand. Clearly, I have missed something. I decided it was time to catch up. I set out to learn all the “buzz” I could about Burts Bees products.

Well, it turns out I was really missing out on a lot. The manufacturers of Burts Bees products believe that your personal well being is directly affected by the products that you use each day. They design all of their products with this in mind. This means that using your Burts Bees lipgloss can make you feel good about:

•    Buying environmentally responsible products
•    Purchasing from a producer that always works for “the Greater Good.”

This sounds great, but kind of vague. I had two questions:

1.    How well does it work?

Well, the stuff works just great. Any Burts Bees product will make its target smoother, softer and firmer. In fact, their anti-aging kits are phenomenal . I will say though that they seem to focus more on prevention and care than on actual repair. If you already have serious weathering problems with your skin then you might want to stick with the Burts Bees moisturizers and go elsewhere for your hard-core restoration.

Answer number 2: What, precisely, is"The Greater Good?"

In short, Burts Bees’ “Greater Good” is a combination of practices that help consumers, employees and the environment. The company sponsors environmental awareness and aid programs. It works to keep employees happy. It strives to serve consumers and has unparalleled customer service on all counts.

Based on this information, you can see why I’m glad I’m no longer missing out. I love the anti-aging products and the lip balm. The “kits” are incredibly fun and make useful, economical gifts that you know will get used, not re-gifted. I have to say it: Burts Bees Greater Good is definitely good for me.
